Meet Mrs. Blackwood:
My name is Dolly Blackwood. I am a Reading Recovery teacher and absolutely LOVE it! There is nothing more special than to teach a child not only to read, but to love reading! This is my 3rd year at IES, but my 29th year teaching.

I have been married for 34 years to the most amazing man, and feel blessed each and every day to be able to call him my husband. We have two grown children. Our son, Chancen, is 27 years old. He lives in Greenville and is a corporate Health and Wellness Director at ScanSource. Our daughter, Camilla, is 25 and she has been married to her high school sweetheart for almost 3 years. They have a beautiful son (our first grandchild), Camdon Wake, who is 4 months old. He is truly our “angel baby” and from the moment we saw him, our hearts doubled in size! We love to travel, spend time at the beach. We enjoy boating and spending time with family and friends.

Meet Mrs. Steadman:
My name is Vicki Steadman better know as “Sweet V” by my five grandchildren. I have taught first grade or Reading Recovery for 32 years. I have to say my passion is for Reading Recovery. I enjoy working with those first graders who are having difficulty putting the reading process together. I love to see their reaction when they realize they can read. For some it comes later rather than sooner.

Meet Mrs. Pitts:
I teach Reading Recovery at Inman Elementary and I am also the Reading Recovery Teacher Leader for our district. Over the course of my teaching career I have taught students in 4K, Kindergarten, First Grade and now Reading Recovery! Teaching Reading Recovery has been a wonderful opportunity for me and I am blessed to work alongside some of the best teachers in District 1.
I am married to my husband Marcus and we have two fantastic children (Owen and Madelyn). When I'm not at school I enjoy spending time with my family, reading books, and watching Clemson Tigers! If you ever have any questions about Reading Recovery, please feel free to contact me.

Meet Ms. Tanner:
Hello, my name is LaTunya Tanner. This is my first year teaching Reading Recovery, but I have been a teacher for over 20 years. I have one son, Miles. We enjoy going to the movies and eating out! I love to read. I think that there are millions of great books for you! I hope that I can help you find some.
