Directions.jpgLocated at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the northern section of Spartanburg County, Chapman High School is easily accessible from any area of our state. With several major highways in close proximity, traveling to our school is both enjoyable and convenient.

If traveling from Spartanburg, take Highway 176/Interstate 585 to the north (Pine Street). Pass Milliken Research Center on the right, cross over Interstate 85 Business, and pass the University of South Carolina Upstate on the right. Continue traveling; Highway 585 will end at Interstate 85 and Highway 176 will continue. Curve to the right and Highway 56 will merge into Highway 176 from the left. Continue past the Ingles and First Baptist Church of North Spartanburg on the right. Travel approximately 2½ miles and cross over Interstate 26. Continue past a large produce shed on the right. Further down is the Inman Animal Hospital on the left. After approximately four miles is the entrance to the town of Inman at the second stoplight. Continue on Highway 176. To the left, there are several restaurants, including Pizza Hut and Taco Bell. Pass Rite Aid on the right and Bi-Lo on the left. Turn right beside Hardee’s onto SC 292, which is South Main Street. Take another right at the second red light and cross the railroad tracks. Immediately turn back to the left onto North Howard Street, which becomes Compton Bridge Road. Follow the road, and Chapman will be on the right. Enter the first drive. Turn left and the visitor parking is in the front of the school.

From Greenville, travel Interstate 85 north toward Charlotte. Travel past Pelham Road where many restaurants, including Macaroni Grill and California Dreaming, are located. Pass the Michelin Tire corporate offices, the Greenville/Spartanburg International Airport, and Highway 14. After entering Spartanburg County, the BMW Manufacturing Plant and Atrium will be on the left. Continue to drive along I-85, passing Highway 290, Highway 29, and Highway 129. Exit onto Interstate 26 west traveling toward Asheville, and pass the Carolina Expo Center on the left located at the New Cut Road Exit. Travel approximately five more miles and exit onto Highway 176. This will be Exit 15. From the exit, turn right onto Highway 176 in the direction of Inman. Continue past a large produce shed on the right. Further down is the Inman Animal Hospital on the left. After approximately four miles is the entrance to the town of Inman at the second stoplight. The most direct route to Chapman from Columbia is Interstate 26. Going west toward Asheville on I-26, moving from the midlands to the foothills area of our beautiful state, there are few manmade landmarks on the route from Columbia to Spartanburg. Travel past historic Newberry, by the city of Clinton, and on through Union County. Continue on the interstate and pass Westgate Mall after driving over Highway 29. Continue along I-26 for approximately seven miles past the mall until you reach Exit 15 or Highway 176. From the exit, turn right onto Highway 176 in the direction of Inman. Continue past a large produce shed on the right. Further down is the Inman Animal Hospital on the left. After approximately four miles is the entrance to the town of Inman at the second stoplight. From Landrum, travel Highway 176 east toward Spartanburg. Pass the new Landrum High School to your left. Shortly after, there is a red light at the intersection of Highway 176 and Highway 11. Continue along Highway 176 through Campobello. Pass the main offices of Spartanburg District One Schools to the right, atop a hill surrounded by oak trees. Pass Gramling Brothers Real Estate on the left and the Gramling division of the United States Post Office on the right. Traveling on, pass the Gramling’s Peach Market. Continue past fields of peach trees and quaint houses that dot the landscape. Look for the Village Green Golf Course, on the right. Pass Gowan Road, also on the right, and turn left onto Windmill Hill Road at the Inman Community Fire Department. Continue on Windmill Hill Road until reaching the stop sign at Compton Bridge Road. Take a right and Chapman High School will be on the left. Enter the third drive on the left at the Chapman sign. Turn left and the visitor parking is in the front of the school.
