Foreign Language
Foreign language study should be considered an educational basic, along with English, math, science, social studies, physical education and the arts. Foreign languages are no longer electives or luxuries anymore. Indeed America's National Education Goals, set by the President and the 50 governors, called for a "substantial" increase in "the percentage of students who are competent in more than one language."
At Chapman High School, we believe the study of foreign languages is for every student, and we encourage continuous study of a language or languages throughout the high school career.
