Alumni Block C Club

We are planning to establish an organization of Chapman High School graduates who earned a varsity athletic letter during their participation in any sport teams while attending school at Chapman or any previous schools that consolidated to make Chapman such as Inman, Bethune, Gramling and others. Our goal is to provide an opportunity for these former athletes as a unified group to promote and maintain Panther Tradition through their recognition and support. These athletes have played vital roles in the history of our athletic heritage and should continue to be role models for our current and future athletes. Many of these Lettermen have been quietly supporting our teams through attending games, contributing financially, being Booster Club members, or just being parents of our athletes.

Like many of these former athletes, I remember becoming a proud member of the Block C Club after I earned my first letter in football back in 1967. I wore my letter jacket everywhere regardless of the weather. I still have it today, but unable to wear it due to changes in my once muscular and slim body. I bet many of you feel the same way about the pride you still have about being a part of this very special group of people who understand what sacrifice and commitment means to earn a letter. I enjoyed the bond and camaraderie with my fellow athletic friends as we shared many experiences on and off the playing fields during our high school years.

These memories and experiences should encourage each of you to become members of this association to not only become reacquainted with some of those old friends, but to share those relationships with our current athletes in order to continue the Panther Tradition through our New Beginning on our new campus. This group can contribute many ways to our athletic program by providing funding for scholarships, establishing a Hall of Fame, and contributing financially to special projects such as a bronze panther statue to be placed at the entrance of our athletic complex. This would be the foundation to build upon as we recruit many of you to be a part of something bigger than yourselves that should contribute to the success of Chapman athletics for years to come.

There will be a hospitality area set up at all our home games to register for membership. As the membership grows, we will begin meeting sometime in the Winter to organize and establish our goals and objectives. We are excited about the possibilities of seeing this association grow to a large membership and being a major contributor to the success of our athletic program.
