Biography

Lyn Smith is a graduate of Pickens Senior High School in Pickens, South Carolina.  He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education (k-12) from the University of South Carolina Upstate and a  Master’s Degree in Sports Management from Northcentral University (AZ).  He has taught Strength and Conditioning classes at Landrum High School for nine years. 

Lyn Smith is married to Christie Mauldin Smith and has two children, Trey (10) and Madelyn Grace (2).  The family resides in Boiling Springs, South Carolina.  Some hobbies include golfing, fishing, coaching basketball and golf, and spending time with family and friends.    

Smith began his coaching career as an assistant Varsity Boys Basketball Coach in 2002.  In 2004, Smith accepted the Varsity Girls Basketball Coaching position at Landrum.  In 2005, Smith was hired as the Head Boys Basketball Coach at Landrum High School.  Smith also coached Cross-Country (03-06) and currently coaches the Golf Team at Landrum.
