PROJECT SHEET FOR FLIGHT #116 IS DOWN

CHOOSE ONE DUE DATE: APRIL 11, 2008

1. Design a DETAILED map of the plane crash site. Include the house, roads, fields, barn, fountain, etc. Use color and label each area. (20 x 36 maximum)

2. Pretend you are a newspaper reporter for the Nearing River Times. Write a two page article about the plane crash. Be sure to include who, what, where, when, why and how.

3. Write diary entries for TWO of the characters in the book. Write at least one page for EACH character. Be sure to write in first person. Start with, Dear Diary, today I……………..

4. Design a new cover for the book. Use color and unlined 8x 11 papers. Be sure to include the title and author somewhere on the cover. It should be Totally different from the original cover.

5..Research what it takes to become an EMT or a Firefighter. Must include subjects needed in high school and all post secondary schooling/ training. Minimum length is 2 pages, 12 pt font, Times New Roman, doubled spaced.

6. Research a major airplane crash. Include in your research, what the FAA deemed as the cause, how many victims died, conditions on the day of the flight, any and all pertinent information related to the crash, and include pictures of the wreckage. Paper must be minimum length, 2 pages (not including pictures), 12 pt. font, Times New Roman, double spaced.

Project will be graded on the following: 20 points for each category.

Proper grammar, mechanics, spelling, etc

Turning project in on time, following directions
