STUDENT RECOGNITION

As part of our literacy initiative, we recognize different students every 9 weeks for their "reading" efforts during school, as well as their reading at home.  A fun activity is planned for those who qualify.  How do you qualify? Keep a log of the pages you've read.  We will announce how many pages qualify for each of the 9 weeks.

Our first reading celebration this year recognized our summer readers of 600 or more pages.  147 7th and 8th grade students were treated to an pizza/ice cream party in the media center. Our quarterly Reading Celebrations were music fests in the gymnasium with over 326 students participating in the 2nd nine-weeks group! And our 3rd quarter readers totaling 390 enjoyed the outdoor activities on our football field.
