Welcome
Welcome
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the Mabry Middle School Website. I am excited about the opportunities that our school provides to its students. The students, faculty, and staff of MMS experienced another extraordinary year.
The faculty and administration of MMS will focus on Literacy Strategies in all classes.
We also began planning for the 2008-2009 school year with our Southern Regional Education Board (SREB) and Making Middle Grades Work implementation. Our initial phase of this implementation plan began with making our instruction as rigorous and engaging as possible and teacher collaboration. Our Coaches have developed a school wide instructional goal which focuses on professional learning communities and connections to literacy. These goals and strategies will be our focus for the 2008-2009 school year.
Our fine arts, athletics and club involvement continued to grow in participation and excelled in performance and expectations. We are excited about the experiences that a new school year will bring. Our students, teachers, and parents take great pride in our school and its success. It is my hope that you will use our website on a regular basis. It contains an abundance of information about programs and calendars as well as other items of great significance relevant to our school.
Our school theme this year is “Journey to Success”. We believe that with the time our students spend at MMS is a special opportunity to provide them with the tools for success as they prepare for high school and beyond. We also want them to develop pride in our school and we hope that through a total school program of academics, athletics, fine arts and clubs that their journey will be fun, challenging, and successful.
Our website is well-organized and filled with information. However, if there is anything that you believe will benefit our users and visitors, please do not hesitate to contact me concerning your input.
Again, Welcome to Mabry Middle School and we look forward to working with you and your child to make 2008-2009 a great year.
