Mabry Middle School – Trailblazers Team Letter

Dear Parents and Students,

We are very excited to have the opportunity to work with you and your child this semester.  The middle school years will be both stimulating and challenging for all of us!

Our primary goals will be to establish a firm foundation in your child’s core subjects and to help your child as he or she begins to take responsibility for his or her academic success.  The first step toward accepting this responsibility is to come to school every day prepared for their academic classes.  We expect each student to come to class prepared along with following the school and class rules.

Rewards will be given to students who are consistently prepared for their core classes (Math, Science, ELA and Social Studies) and follow class rules.  Below please find a list of class rules.  Also find the consequences that will apply to those students who choose not to follow class rules.

            Classroom Rules:

1.       Be on time.

2.       Bring all materials to class.

3.      Respect your teacher and classmates.

4.      Follow all school rules.

Consequences:

First Offense – Verbal warning

Second Offense – Verbal Warning and Conference with Student

Third Offense – Note in Agenda and/or phone call home

Fourth Offense – After School Detention

Fifth Offense – Office Referral

You will be receiving a letter from each of the core teachers with specific information for that class.

Our team planning period will be from 2:10 – 3:00 each afternoon.  Please feel free to contact us during this time if you have any questions or concerns about your child’s progress or if you would like to schedule a conference.  We can be contacted by phone 472-8402 or e-mail which is listed below.

Please retain this information for yourself and your child.

On behalf of all the faculty and staff at Mabry Middle School – Welcome!!!  By working together, we will make this semester a successful one.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Angie Gaines (Math) angie.gaines@spart1.org

Mrs. Melissa Gencarelli (Science) melissa.gencarelli@spart1.org

Mrs. Robin Lu (Social Studies) robin.lu@spart1.org
