The arts program at OP Earle has been generously awarded over $36,000 from The Polk County Community Foundation to implement our Artist in Residence program. When students leave OPE they will have experienced a performance in all disciplines of the arts; dance, drama, visual arts and music at every grade level.

By emphasizing art, children have a unique avenue to mental. social and individual growth. Self-concept, cognitive development, critical thinking, and social skills are enhanced through the arts.

These photos are part of a digital portfolio of my Southern Folk Pottery unit. All fifth grades students created a face jug pot. Students experience throwing on a potter's wheel. We engage the community by exhibiting student art work, writing and music during our annual Spring Sampler of the Arts.
