October and November will be an introduction to the 16 Career Clusters. We will be taking an interest inventory on SCOIS. This inventory will place them into career clusters. If you would like to see the inventories you can go to www.scois.net and use prospect as the username and password.
Red Ribbon Week
October is National Red Ribbon Week. I teach drug resistance lessons to all the students at New Prospect. Thank you for making Red Ribbon Week a wonderful success!
Meet Mrs. Elrod
My name is Gayle Elrod. I am the Guidance Counselor and Career Development Facilitator at New Prospect Elementary. I have been the counselor at New Prospect since 2007. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education and a Master’s degree in Elementary Guidance. I taught middle school special education for seven years and I have been a guidance counselor for nine years. I also have my Global Career Facilitator certificate. I teach lessons on character development to students from kindergarten to sixth grade. I also teach career skills to the sixth graders at New Prospect. I love working with the students and parents at New Prospect!
