The South Carolina Department of Education and the Education Oversight Committee have released the 2025 School Report Cards, and Spartanburg School District One is proud to share strong results across the district.
Overall, the district earned 2 Excellent ratings, Landrum High School and New Prospect Elementary, along with 7 Good ratings and 1 Average rating across our schools.
Spartanburg One also saw growth across multiple campuses, with five report cards improving their categorical rating from the previous year. This is an important indicator of continued academic progress and schoolwide improvement efforts.
At the middle school level, the district saw significant gains—10 out of 11 available middle-level indicators improved. These improvements reflect dedicated instructional work, strong academic supports, and a focus on student growth.
The district’s combined Graduation Rate reached 94.4%, one of the highest in the region and well above the state average. This milestone highlights the dedication of teachers, counselors, and administrators who ensure students graduate ready for college, careers, and life after high school.
“We are encouraged by the continued progress shown across our district,” said Dr. Mark Smith, Superintendent of Spartanburg One. “While the report cards provide an important snapshot, they only tell part of the story. Our teachers and staff work tirelessly each day to support students, and these results reflect that commitment. We will continue to build on our strengths while focusing on areas where growth is needed.”
