Campobello Gramling School recently held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of its new Book Vending Machine, an exciting new way to encourage and reward student readers.
Students and staff gathered with the Cliffs Resident Outreach to mark the occasion. Each grade level selected a Wildcat Reader to participate in the ceremony, representing the many students across campus who demonstrate a love of reading.
Unlike a traditional vending machine, this one does not take money. Instead, students earn special gold coins for positive actions such as being an outstanding peer, helping a classmate, showing kindness, or demonstrating a commitment to reading. Students can then use those coins to select a book of their choice.
The book vending machine provides a fun incentive that celebrates positive behavior while helping students build excitement around reading.
Campobello Gramling School would like to thank one of Spartanburg One’s valued community partners, The CRO, for supporting this opportunity for students. Their partnership continues to make a positive impact for Spartanburg One students.
