Spartanburg School District One will welcome back graduating seniors for the annual Graduation Walks at their former elementary schools this May. The special tradition gives seniors the chance to walk the halls of their elementary school in their cap and gown while younger students and staff celebrate their accomplishments.
The Graduation Walks are designed to honor the Class of 2026 and inspire current students as they see former students preparing to graduate and begin the next chapter of their lives.
“We are excited to celebrate our seniors and the journey they have taken from elementary school to graduation,” said Superintendent Dr. Mark S. Smith. “These walks are a meaningful way to recognize their hard work while also encouraging younger students to dream big and work toward their goals.”
Graduation Walk schedules are listed below:
Holly Springs-Motlow Elementary — May 13 at 1:00 p.m.
Inman Elementary — May 12 at 1:15 p.m.
Inman Intermediate — May 12 at 1:45 p.m.
O.P. Earle Elementary — May 13 at 1:00 p.m.
New Prospect Elementary — May 13 at 1:30 p.m.
Campobello-Gramling School — May 12 at 1:30 p.m.
Graduating seniors are encouraged to wear their cap and gown and arrive a few minutes early for their scheduled walk.
District leaders say the event continues to be a favorite tradition for students, staff, and families across Spartanburg One.
