Spartanburg School District One is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our Advanced Placement (AP) students and teachers following the release of 2026 AP exam results.
This year, students completed 251 AP exams across 14 subject areas, with an impressive 90.3% of exams earning a passing score. The average score across all AP exams was 3.81, and 148 exams received a score of 4 or 5.
District students also performed strongly when compared to students worldwide. Of the 14 AP subject exams given, 12 had mean scores that exceeded the global average, and 12 had passage rates that exceeded the global average.
Student achievement was further recognized through 52 AP Student Award recognitions, including 24 AP Scholars, 10 AP Scholars with Honor, and 18 AP Scholars with Distinction. These College Board recognitions honor students who demonstrate strong performance across multiple AP exams.
Behind these accomplishments are 14 AP teachers who challenged, encouraged, and supported students throughout the year. Their commitment, along with the hard work of our students, continues to provide opportunities for students to experience rigorous, college-level coursework while still in high school.
