thletic events bring our Spartanburg One community together to support our student-athletes. We want everyone attending our games to have a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable experience. To help ensure the safety of our students, families, and guests, the following guidelines are in place for athletic events.
Clear Bag Policy
Spartanburg School District One has a clear bag policy for all middle and high school athletic events. Diaper bags, coolers, camera bags, and other non-approved bags are not permitted.
Approved Bags:
Clear tote bags no larger than 12 x 6 x 12 inches
Clear plastic bags no larger than one gallon
Small clutch purses no larger than 4.5 x 6.5 inches
Logos on clear bags may not exceed 4.5 x 3.4 inches
Additional Permitted Items:
Medically necessary items (subject to inspection at the entrance)
Keys, wallets, phones, credit cards, and cash carried in pockets or by hand
Seat cushions without pockets, zippers, compartments, or covers
Umbrellas
Clear rain ponchos
Outside Food and Beverages
Outside food and beverages are not permitted at athletic events. This includes reusable drink containers such as Yeti and Stanley cups.
Exceptions will be made for medical needs. Guests requiring an exception should notify staff at the entrance for assistance.
Student and Child Supervision
All elementary and middle school students must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or guardian when attending high school athletic events.
Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising their children throughout the event.
Spectator Areas
To maintain a safe and orderly environment, spectators are expected to remain in designated seating areas during games.
Standing, gathering, or hanging out underneath the bleachers or around concession stands is not permitted.
Spectators may leave their seats to visit restrooms or concession stands but should return to their seating areas afterward.
No Re-Entry
Once a guest enters an athletic event, re-entry will not be permitted if the guest chooses to leave.
