Index of education quality score

Spartanburg One recently completed a rigorous Cognia accreditation review, which occurs every five years, in which an external review team conducts a highly detailed, data-driven, and all-encompassing examination of school and school system practices.  Overall, Spartanburg One received an “Index of Education Quality” score of 354.52 out of a possible 400, which well exceeds the average score of 278-283 awarded to school systems in recent years!

The review team evaluates the leadership, learning, and resource management of school systems. Spartanburg One was awarded a level “4” (highest rating) in 26 of the 31 Cognia standards, and a “3” in all other areas. Notably, a score of “4” was earned in each of the eleven Leadership Capacity standards.

The review team observed, "authentic communication among the stakeholders, the commitment to all students, and the common “buy-in” from all interviewed provided evidence that the narrative of the district begins with students and ends with students."

We would like to congratulate the administration, board members, teachers, faculty, staff, students, parents, guardians, and community partners on this profound success and the quality work completed over the past five years!
