On February 22, 2022, the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Controls (SCDHEC) released updated guidance for K-12 Schools and Childcare Centers that are similar, but not identical, to pre-COVID-19 guidance for influenza. Since the start of the pandemic, we have monitored and analyzed COVID-19 data and have developed our guidelines based on recommendations from the SCDHEC and the CDC.
Data from the last two weeks show that no Spartanburg One school has had 10 percent or more of its students or staff absent due to COVID-19. Based on our current data trends, effective March 9, 2022, Spartanburg One will resume normal (pre-COVID-19) operating procedures in all schools and buildings.
