Congratulations to Landrum High School's Chad Cooksey for being named the South Carolina Athletic Coaches Association - SCACA 2022 Strength Coach of the Year! Coach Cooksey has been the Head Strength Coach at Landrum High School for 8 years. Under his leadership, LHS has featured 15 individual state strength meet champions, which includes male and female athletes. These teams have consistently been the number one strength program at the 2A level, featuring two back-to-back 2A team state championships. In 2016, Team Landrum brought 10 athletes to the USA Weightlifting (USAW) National Youth Championships with one athlete being named the USAW Youth National Champion. Under Coach Cooksey’s leadership, opportunities such as these deliver a quality, educational experience for our students, and ensure rigorous and meaningful learning. Congratulations, Coach Cooksey
