Congratulations to Dr. Meisha Whitlock for being selected as a recipient of the NEA Today Global Learning Fellowship! Dr. Whitlock represents the state of South Carolina in this program, as only one teacher is chosen per state from a series of applicants who submit essays on global learning. Dr. Whitlock attended workshops held in Washington D.C. along with the US fellows from other states and will be traveling to Peru and Chile in South America this summer for a field study. The purpose of the fellowship is for teachers to develop the skills necessary to transform their classrooms and schools into learning environments filled with “Globally Competent” students. We are very proud of Dr. Whitlock for her participation in this prestigious fellowship and appreciate her passion for educating all learners!
