We hope to see you soon at our Spring Literacy Carnival! Families will enter through the Front Office doors to sign in. Students will receive their ticket to participate in all of the carnival activities. We will have free popcorn and PTO will sell pizza and drinks. Families will also receive reading tips and a family read aloud book!
We are excited to celebrate Read Across America with our students this week! On Wednesday, we will celebrate with a Book Character Parade. Students may dress up as their favorite book character and bring a copy of the book. Parents are invited to watch students parade in the car line area outside the gym and multipurpose room.

This challenge is all about building strong attendance habits, boosting school spirit, and celebrating the classrooms that consistently come to school prepared to do their best. Every single day your child is present makes a difference — not only for their own learning, but for their class’s chance to advance in the bracket! Spartanburg School District One has been closely monitoring the weather forecast. The National Weather Service has issued an Ice Storm Warning through Monday.
Based on the strong potential for inclement weather and unsafe travel conditions, Spartanburg One will hold an E-Learning Day on Monday, January 26, 2026.
By making this decision in advance, we hope to give parents and employees time to prepare and, most importantly, to keep families safe. As below-freezing temperatures are expected to continue into early next week, we will closely monitor conditions and communicate any additional schedule changes as soon as information becomes available.
Thank you for your patience and understanding, as safety remains our top priority in Spartanburg One.

Students may dress in their favorite superhero shirts or gear to represent the super skills they’ve built over the last 100 days — kindness, perseverance, and a love of learning! ⭐

We can't wait to see our 4K Grown-ups on Thursday for Doughnuts with Grown-ups! Please make sure you bring your student with you if you are attending. Students may enter with their families at 8:00 am through the cafeteria doors.
Just a reminder that our last two days of Santa's Shop will be this Thursday and Friday! Students have one last chance to shop for gifts for their friends and family. Thank you to our PTO for sponsoring this for our students!

On December 2nd at 6:00 PM, our 1st and 2nd grade students, along with our 3rd grade Soaring Singers, will present Elflandia, a delightful Christmas musical, at the Chapman High School Auditorium.
Come kick off the holiday season with an evening filled with music, smiles, and cheer!

Students attending the event will enter the building with their adult, and our staff will check everyone in at the event. We can’t wait to see you there! ❤️🍩
We will begin collecting money for Spartanburg District One's Christmas for All Fundraiser next week. Each class is challenged to raise $30. All Classes who raise $30 will earn a pajama day on November 25th. The class that raises the most money will have a pizza party on November 25th. All proceeds raised will support purchasing Christmas gifts for Spartanburg One families.
