If you ask any alumnus of New Prospect what their favorite memory is, without question the most popular answer is the Barrier Island Trip. Historically, 6th grade students take a Spring Trip to Barrier Island-St. Christopher's Camp at Seabrook Island. While there, students experience cabin life, learn about the estuary and ecosystems that inhabit our state. Students participate in team building activities that provide invaluable experiences and memories.
Rising costs led Mrs. Seymour and Mrs. Linder to apply to the Cliffs Resident Outreach for funding to offset the cost for our students. We were awarded $5700 to apply to the total cost of the trip for our students. Our goal is to always ensure every student who wishes to go is able to participate as well as to provide an affordable option for all our students.
We are grateful to the Cliffs for their support in ensuring we can continue this NPE tradition.
