🌟 ONE TO WATCH | Inman Elementary 🌟

We’re kicking off our first month of One to Watch at Inman Elementary by celebrating three Eagles who make IES a special place!

🦅 Student One to Watch: Bella Bondarchuk
Third grader Bella Bondarchuk is kind, hardworking, and a great example to her classmates. We especially love something Bella recently shared: “I’m okay with making mistakes—that means I get to work to fix them.” What a great way to look at learning and growing!

🍎 Faculty One to Watch: Ms. Bailey Condrey
Ms. Condrey teaches our 3- and 4-year-old PCD students, and for many of them, she is part of their very first school experience. She works each day to help her students learn, communicate, build confidence, and become more independent. The growth happening in her classroom is something to celebrate!

💙 Staff One to Watch: Ms. Tamika Hull
Ms. Hull works hard behind the scenes to make sure IES is ready for students and staff each day. She spent countless hours this summer getting the school ready for a new year and is always willing to jump in and help wherever she is needed. Most of all, she brings a positive attitude to her work and to those around her.

We will begin our Fall iReady testing next week. This test helps teachers to know each student's level in math and reading and personalize a learning pathway for students for the year. Students will have a goal score to reach by the end of the year based on their Fall test. Please encourage your students to take their time and try their best on their testing day. We can't wait to watch our Eagles Soar this year!

Dear IES Families, We’re excited to kick off our Schoolwide March Madness Attendance Challenge on March 2nd! 🏀🎉 Over the next five weeks, our K5–3rd grade classrooms will compete in a fun, bracket-style competition focused on one important goal — showing up and being ready to learn each day. This challenge is all about building strong attendance habits, boosting school spirit, and celebrating the classrooms that consistently come to school prepared to do their best. Every single day your child is present makes a difference — not only for their own learning, but for their class’s chance to advance in the bracket! Thank you for partnering with us to make attendance a priority. We can’t wait to see which classroom comes out on top! 🏆

Spartanburg School District One has been closely monitoring the weather forecast. The National Weather Service has issued an Ice Storm Warning through Monday.

Based on the strong potential for inclement weather and unsafe travel conditions, Spartanburg One will hold an E-Learning Day on Monday, January 26, 2026.

By making this decision in advance, we hope to give parents and employees time to prepare and, most importantly, to keep families safe. As below-freezing temperatures are expected to continue into early next week, we will closely monitor conditions and communicate any additional schedule changes as soon as information becomes available.

Thank you for your patience and understanding, as safety remains our top priority in Spartanburg One.
