Using just paper, tape, and their imaginations, students explored the Engineering Design Process—from brainstorming and designing to testing and improving their structures. The challenge? Mrs. Farmer’s 6th-grade scientists turned bubble gum into a full-blown scientific investigation this week! 😄🧠 Students used the scientific method to explore how much sugar and artificial sweeteners are in gum. This week at LMS: i-Ready testing begins and will continue through next week. On Thursday, Dr. Walker is inviting 8th-grade parents to our cafeteria at 5 pm for an informational session on an overnight field trip planned for next Spring. On Friday, we will be selling Chick-fil-A biscuits in our morning car line for $5 each. Also on Friday, we're celebrating back-to-school with a "Let's Glow Crazy!" Dance Party from 6:00-8:00 pm. LMS students ONLY. Admission is $10, and bring extra for concessions. Dress is casual. Wear your neon and bright colors. School dress code still applies.
