Get to know Mr. Nix and welcome him to our LMS family!
Mr. Nix is a native of Boiling Springs, SC and received his Bachelors of Music Education from Newberry College and Masters of Education from Francis Marion University. Prior to serving as the director of bands at Landrum Middle School and Landrum High School, Mr. Nix has served as the director of bands at North Central Middle School and North Central High School. Under his direction, his bands have received numerous superior ratings in marching and concert band events throughout the southeast, boasting consistent top 5 finishes at the SC State Marching Band Championships, including two bronze medal placements, and one silver medal placement. Concert bands under his direction have consistently placed students in the SC Region 3 Honor Band, earned excellent and superior ratings at state events, earned the SCBDA Outstanding Performance Award, and have been invited to perform at Walt Disney World and Universal Studios on numerous occasions. Mr. Nix and his wife, Sophie, have three boys; Henry, George, and Oliver. Mr. Nix and his family love to spend time together outdoors, hiking and working on their land.

My name is Tara Farmer, and I am returning to the classroom after a two-year break. I just thought I wanted to retire. 🤣 This will be my 31st year in the sixth-grade science class.
My husband and I have been married for 34 years and have three grown children and three grandsons. We will add another “grand” to our group in November Being a Nana is one of my greatest joys!! In my free time, I like to craft and one of my newest passions is book sculpting!

My name is Roger Crowe. This will be year 27 for me in Education. I am originally from Myrtle Beach, SC. I am married to Kathy Ann Crowe. She is a Realtor with Berkshire Hathaway C. Dan Joyner in Spartanburg. We have 2 sons, Wylie (24) and Bailey (22). I have coached Football (5 x State Champion), Basketball, Golf, Tennis, and Track. I played basketball at Limestone College. I enjoy sailing, reading, and playing the guitar. This is my 2nd time in D1. I taught at LMS, CGS, and CHS from 2018-2021.
