Individual Graduation Plans (IGP) are annual meetings with the student, parent/guardian, and school counselor to discuss grades, future plans after graduation, and to choose classes for next year.

Spartanburg School District One has been closely monitoring the weather forecast. The National Weather Service has issued an Ice Storm Warning through Monday.

Based on the strong potential for inclement weather and unsafe travel conditions, Spartanburg One will hold an E-Learning Day on Monday, January 26, 2026.

By making this decision in advance, we hope to give parents and employees time to prepare and, most importantly, to keep families safe. As below-freezing temperatures are expected to continue into early next week, we will closely monitor conditions and communicate any additional schedule changes as soon as information becomes available.

**E-Learning Day – Inclement Weather**

On Monday, January 26th, our school will have an E-Learning Day.

The class schedule for the day is listed below.

Teachers will be available during their scheduled times via Google Meet and email (contingent upon having power and internet access). Each teacher will post their Google Meet link in their respective Google Classroom. Students should work to complete all assignments and may reach out to their teachers via email if they have any questions.

If a student is unable to access their Google Classroom assignments due to extenuating circumstances (such as loss of power or no internet access), they will be given the opportunity to complete the assignments upon returning to school.

1st Period: 8:30 – 8:45
2nd Period: 8:45 – 9:00
3rd Period: 9:00 – 9:15
4th Period: 9:15 – 9:30

Break: 9:30 – 10:00

PTO will be taking lunch orders in the gym before school. The lunch includes a sandwich, chips, and a cookie for $10.00. Canned drinks will be sold on handout day on Wednesday, January 28th.

Location: Chapman High School
Girls Game: 5:00 PM
Boys Game: Immediately following the girls’ game

**Upcoming Event: 8th Grade IGP Night**
Mabry Middle School will host an Individual Graduation Plan (IGP) Night for current 8th grade students and their families on Wednesday, January 28th, from 5:30 PM–6:30 PM in the MMS Cafeteria.

The purpose of this FREE event is to provide important information about the IGP process and allow families to sign up for their student’s individual IGP meeting. Families will hear from representatives from Chapman High School, Swofford Career Center, and the South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce (SCDEW). Food and drinks will be provided for all who attend.

Parents and guardians planning to participate are encouraged to complete the registration form by Friday, January 23rd, to assist us with planning for seating, food, and materials. Please register using the QR code on the attached flyer.

Key Reminders

Parents of car riders, please ensure that your child arrives at school by 7:50 a.m., as the car rider gate will close at that time. This allows students adequate time to proceed through the weapons detection system and arrive to first period on time.

As we begin the second semester, please take a moment to review the following expectations with your child:
