MMS Parents,
Please see the important information below regarding Spartanburg School District One’s new “No Unaccompanied Minors Rule” for high school athletic events.
This policy goes into effect tonight for Chapman High School’s home football game and will apply to all high school athletic events in Spartanburg District One moving forward.
No Unaccompanied Minors Rule
In conjunction with the clear bag policy, Spartanburg School District One is implementing a new rule prohibiting unaccompanied minors from attending high school athletic events.
All attendees in 8th grade or below must be accompanied by a responsible adult or parent.
High school students with proper identification will continue to be permitted to attend events.
Parents or guardians of students who are not in high school may not drop off their child at a high school athletic event or leave them unattended.
This decision is intended to enhance the safety and supervision of younger attendees and help provide a safe, secure, and family-friendly environment for everyone attending district athletic events.
Please make sure you are aware of this policy if your child plans to attend tonight’s Chapman High School home football game or any future high school athletic event in Spartanburg District One.
Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us keep our students and community safe!
