This is a quick reminder that tomorrow, Tuesday, May 5th, will be our final day of SC READY testing. Students will be taking the Math portion of the assessment.
Please review the following ways you can help your child prepare for a successful testing day:
Ensure your child gets plenty of rest — aim for at least 8 hours of sleep
Provide a healthy breakfast — a nutritious meal helps students stay focused and energized
Arrive at school on time — being late can create unnecessary stress and may disrupt testing schedules
Encourage daily attendance — avoid scheduling appointments during testing days whenever possible
Communicate with teachers — reach out if you have questions about testing dates, preparation resources, or ways to support your child
Thank you for your continued support in helping our students do their very best.
Have a great evening, and we look forward to a successful day of testing tomorrow!

There will be no Principal’s Update this week. Please take a moment to review the attached flyer for important information regarding Spring Break.
I hope everyone enjoys a relaxing, fun, and safe Spring Break!
— Mr. Copeland

We would like to inform you that our students will soon be participating in the South Carolina College- and Career-Ready Assessments (SC READY). These assessments are an important measure of student progress in core academic areas.
SC READY Testing Schedule:
Tuesday, April 28th – Writing
Wednesday, April 29th – Reading
Tuesday, May 5th – Math
To help you better understand the assessment, parent/guardian brochures were sent home on Monday, March 30th. These brochures provide helpful information about the test format, expectations, and ways to support your child.
If you need another copy or would like access to alternate formats or translated versions, please visit the following link:
https://ed.sc.gov/tests/middle/sc-ready/information-for-parents/
Attendance is extremely important on testing days. We ask that all students are present, arrive on time, and are prepared for testing. Please make every effort to avoid scheduling appointments or early dismissals on these dates. Being present helps ensure your child can perform their best without unnecessary stress or interruptions.
We also encourage you to help your child get a good night’s rest and come to school ready to do their best.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the school testing coordinator, Dr. Salters, at tanae.salters@spart1.org.
Thank you for your continued support.
